Objectives

To attain the stated goal, the Organization’s objectives shall be to:

  1. Facilitate farmer access to quality inputs, information, and services necessary for the improvement of the productivity and production of their farm holdings;
    1. Design and extend adapted technologies to smallholder farmers aimed at enabling and enhancing the transformation of their farm products to reduce loss and ensure added value and increased gains from these commodities;
    2. Develop simple market information systems with farmers to facilitate their access to strategic market intelligence necessary for better marketing of their farm produce in local and external markets;
    • Empower farmers especially youths and women, to constitute powerful organisations that will ensure service provision, advocacy, lobbying, and intermediation with public institutions to guarantee their inclusion in rural development interventions and access to the commonwealth;
    1. Provide training on key rural occupations for enterprise development, job and wealth creation in rural communities leading to the settlement and stabilisation of youths who would otherwise migrate to urban centres;
    2. Build the capacities of rural communities for sustainable natural resource management, environmental protection, and the development and use of clean, renewable, and profitable energy alternatives to contribute to the reduction of the effects of climate change while providing income generation possibilities for community members;
